Emergency Plumbing
The hours between midnight and dawn are when most plumbing emergencies happen — and when most plumbers are unreachable. Aquatide runs an overnight crew with a dedicated van so the line picks up, the quote happens on arrival, and the leak is stopped.
What counts as an emergency
- Visible water flooding the unit or running into a neighbour's space
- Burst supply pipe behind a wall — wet patch growing in real time
- Failed shut-off valves that won't close the main any longer
- WC overflow that has reached the floor and is still rising
- Total cold-water failure with no obvious building-side cause
What to do before we arrive
- Close the main stop-valve if you can find it (usually behind the WC or in the kitchen utility cupboard)
- Switch off any water-heater isolators
- Towel-bund the affected floor to slow the spread
- Photograph wet patches with timestamps for your insurer
How the night crew operates
The on-call van is stocked with shutoff valves, push-fit fittings, copper sections, sealants and a wet-vac. We can isolate, stem and patch even an awkward burst inside an hour, then return in daylight to finish the permanent repair on the agreed price.
About emergency callouts
How much extra is the after-hours rate?
Between midnight and 6am the labour rate is 1.6× the daytime tariff. Parts are billed at the same price as daytime. We tell you the multiplier before the van rolls.
What if I can't shut the main myself?
Stay calm — we talk you through it on the phone while the crew is en route. The dispatcher will help you locate the building's stop-valve if your apartment doesn't have one.
Will my home insurance cover the callout?
Most household policies in Malaysia cover sudden plumbing failure but not gradual deterioration. We hand over a written report and timestamped photos with every emergency invoice — that's usually enough for the claim.
Public holiday — are you still on?
Yes. CNY morning, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas Day — the night line is staffed every day of the year without exception.
