Return & Refund Policy
Aquatide is a service company, not a product retailer. Most "refund" situations are actually warranty-callback situations, and the policy below explains how each is handled.
1. Workmanship not up to standard
If a repair fails inside the workmanship warranty period (12 months on repairs, 24 months on new installations, 36 months on full renovations), we will return at no charge to make it right. The remedy is: re-inspection, re-quote of the defect, repair under warranty. We will not refund the original invoice in lieu of repair unless the original repair cannot be salvaged — for example, a tile pattern that's no longer available in the market.
2. Parts and fixtures supplied by us
Where a tap, sanitaryware item or appliance we supplied turns out to be defective from the manufacturer, we will:
- Replace it under the manufacturer's warranty at no labour cost to you
- If the item is no longer available, supply an equivalent or better item at no price difference
- If neither is possible, refund the supplied cost of the item
3. Customer-supplied materials
We are not the seller of the item, so any product-level refund is between the Customer and the original retailer. We will, however, dismount the failed item and refit a replacement at our standard hourly labour, with the first hour discounted as a returning-customer courtesy.
4. Cancellation of a booking
Cancellation with 4 or more hours' notice is free. Cancellation inside 4 hours may incur the first-hour labour rate. Bathroom renovation projects cancelled after material procurement has commenced are subject to recovery of committed material cost, as set out in the Terms & Conditions.
5. Wasted callout
If we arrive at the agreed visit window and cannot reasonably access the property — gate locked, no answer, unsafe site conditions — a wasted-callout fee of RM 80 may apply. We waive it on the first occurrence as a goodwill gesture; it applies from the second occurrence onwards.
6. Quote rejection
If you receive a written quote and decide not to proceed, there is no fee. The visit, inspection and quote are free of charge inside the Klang Valley during business hours.
7. Disputed invoices
If you believe an invoice is incorrect, raise the dispute in writing within 14 days of issue. We freeze the disputed amount, investigate, and issue either a corrected invoice or a written explanation within 21 calendar days. Pay the undisputed portion in the normal payment window.
8. Refund processing time
Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method:
- FPX and DuitNow QR: 2–4 working days
- Credit card: 5–10 working days, depending on issuer
- Bank transfer: 1–3 working days after receipt of the receiving account details
9. Out of scope
The following are not eligible for refund:
- Damage caused by external trades working on our installed fittings without prior notification
- Acts of God — flooding, building subsidence, fire — outside our reasonable control
- Misuse of fittings outside their stated operating conditions
- Customer changes of mind on aesthetic preferences after work is completed
